The projects we support around the world are:

Christian Aid

https://www.christianaid.org.uk/homepage
We support Christian Aid in its work supporting poorer people across the world. Trinity supports Christian Aid financially through our Harvest Festival Appeal and other fundraising efforts. We also support the annual Christian Aid Week house-to-house collection.

Eco Church

https://ecochurch.arocha.org.uk/
Trinity is an Eco Church, achieving the Bronze Award in 2016, reflecting our efforts as a church in caring for God’s earth in different areas of our life and work:-

• Worship and teaching
• Management of church buildings
• Community and global engagement
• Lifestyle

We are now actively undertaking further projects as we move towards being able to apply for a Silver Award in future.

Fairtrade

https://www.fairtrade.org.uk/
Trinity is a Fairtrade (link to Fairtrade Foundation) church, using Fairtrade products wherever possible and promoting Fairtrade during Fairtrade Fortnight and throughout the year. As a church, we are also represented on the Leek Fairtrade Town Steering Group, which successfully reapplied for Fairtrade Town status in 2016.

Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Crisis Appeals

https://www.dec.org.uk/
We support DEC Crisis Appeals to rebuild communities around the world devastated by disasters. We provide a donation point in the church foyer, encouraging people to make donations in support of each Appeal.

Festival Appeals

We support a range of international charities through our Festival Appeals at Easter and Christmas.

In 2017 our Easter Appeal supported Orbis https://gbr.orbis.org/en, a charity fighting blindness and visual impairment across the world. Our Christmas Appeal supported Medecins Sans Frontieres https://www.msf.org.uk/, an emergency humanitarian aid organisation, which helps people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural and man-made disasters, without discrimination.

One World Week

https://www.oneworldweek.org/
We support One World Week, an opportunity to celebrate people working together to build a just, peaceful and sustainable world. Each year, we organise an event with a speaker to mark One World Week.

LOAF

http://www.greenchristian.org.uk/
We support the Green Christian LOAF principles in our provision of food wherever possible:-

• Locally produced
• Organically grown
• Animal friendly
• Fairly traded.
