TRINITY CHURCH: CORONA VIRUS RESPONSE
With the information that has been made available to us, including the issues around extended social contact and the spread of the virus, the Elders have been discussing over the last 36 hours how we should respond. We have decided to cancel all Trinity Church’s activities including Sunday Worship with immediate effect. This decision has not been made lightly and will remain for the foreseeable future. We will regularly review this decision.
The safeguarding of our members, friends and the community in general is of the utmost importance. We reiterate the advice about effective hand washing and self-isolating. This is necessary if you are in the particularly vulnerable category or are experiencing any symptoms.
It is important to be aware of each other’s wellbeing, and our own, at this time, and it is important to keep in contact with each other.
These words below are from the Methodist Church Web Site.
God of all hope we call on you today.
We pray for those who are living in fear:
Fear of illness, fear for loved ones, fear of other’s reactions to them.
May your Spirit give us a sense of calmness and peace.
We pray for your church in this time of uncertainty.
Grant us your wisdom.
Holy God, we remember that you have promised that
Nothing will separate us from your love – demonstrated to us in Jesus Christ.
Help us turn our eyes, hearts and minds to you.
