LEEK GRANTED ‘FAIR TRADE TOWN’ STATUS!
Leek was finally awarded ‘Fair Trade Town’ status in late 2007, after much hard work by many within the town, including Churches Together in Leek and District, who have been selling fairly traded goods for many years and hold a regular stall at Trinity Church.
The status was publicly launched during ‘Fairtrade Fortnight’ a couple of months ago.
The stall at Trinity, which is well stocked with a wide range of goods, is open on Wednesday mornings and the first Saturday of the month as well as Sunday mornings at the end of worship.
